WSS : A brief Encounter
3rd of March 2020 : Night 1
We started a small WSS game, just 3 on night 1 but reinforcements are arriving next week.
As it stands the Allies with a Plodder commanding are up against it
10th of March 2020 : Night 2
Well the Brititsh arrived to much pomp, an excellent general to boot as well ensured that the orders flowed and they were soon in the thick of it.
Two well judged cavalry charges sees the French right looking under extreme pressure, but they have some well placed cavalry of their own and things could change quickly in the later stages of the encounter.
On the other side, the allied cavalry have had the best of it but due to poor dice throws not to much movement all round.
17th of March
We brought the game to an end, with the world meltdown continuing we thought it was wise. The allies had the upper hand as the piled on the pressure on both flanks and their cavalry seeming to be indestructible. The French couldn't stop the routes and ended up taking a withdrawal test at the end of turn 11 which they passed.
We called time and a draw, but the writing seemed to be on the wall for the French.
